New Mercies Each Day
Modified Transcript:
Hi, it’s Kimberly from Well Christian Woman.
I’m so excited to be back with you after a few weeks of not feeling well and thinking “tomorrow I’ll feel better”, but realizing that you just need to do what you think you should be doing with each day. That’s really what this video is about: new mercies each day. God tells us that he will give us new mercies each day and new strength for each day. Just what we need for that day.
I don’t know about you, but I often think “ok if I can just get through this day and go to bed and go to sleep, when I wake up in the morning whatever was bothering me today will be better.” For some reason, things will just seem better the next morning… and sometimes it is better, depending on what was happening that day. If it was a headache or something like that. But often we wake up the next day and we are back in the same mess that we were in the day before because our circumstances haven’t really changed.
What God tells us is that He will give us just what we need for each day. He says through Jeremiah in Lamentations 3:22-23:
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning. Great is thy faithfulness. – Lamentations 3:22-23
We can hold onto that.
It doesn’t mean that we don’t have to make choices each day about what we do. Just because his mercy and forgiveness is unending doesn’t mean that we don’t have to try to live in that and live for Him. A summary of one of C.S. Lewis’ quotes is that every decision we make either brings us closer to god or it take us further away.
That is so true, but the great, great news that we can live by is that no matter what our day holds we can look to God and we can know that every morning His mercy his going to be new for us and is going to be enough for us!
I hope and pray that gives you as much courage and as much peace as it does for me today.

Hi Kimberly,
I was a patient of yours in 2015 until I moved to Calgary. I moved back to NB this past spring and heard of your diagnosis and have been praying for you and your family. Today I thought of you and thought I would google to see if I could find out how you were doing. God works in amazing ways! What came up was wellchristianwoman.com. I’m so glad I found it, I didn’t know you were a Christian and it’s so good to see your smiling face and hear your messages. Your videos are a great inspiration and encourage me to draw closer to God in my walk with Jesus. My prayers are with you and God Bless!
