I recently wrote a blog about purpose and happened upon this song by Ashes Remain a few days later. It’s been stuck in my head ever since.
Music is such a powerful source of encouragement. This song beautifully captures the truth that each day is a gift we were never guaranteed.
I try to start each day by thanking God for another day I’ve been given, but it’s easy to forget and to lose that thankful mindset. Doing this simple thing (or not doing it) changes the focus and course of my day.
I am going to work at being more intentional in this and hope that this song encourages you as much as it did me!

I keep having on my heart to pray for you to have something your heart is able to thank God for. I have argued with my thoughts on praying this because I know how sick you are. This blog has confirmed that praying that was from God. You are loved and needed.
